VersaPoint I/O

8000 Process I/O is a completely modular distributed I/O solution for both general purpose and hazardous area applications. Unlike most process control equipment, it is built to be mounted in the entire spectrum of plant environments, especially the user's most demanding applications.

8000 Process I/O modules are available for virtually any process signal, including analog, thermocouple, RTD, potentiometer, discrete, high-speed counter, frequency and quadrature. And for hazardous applications, it provides the most cost-effective intrinsically safe I/O available by integrating intrinsic safety and sensor signal conditioning in one package.

Genius I/O

Some production process industries require more rugged and safe-guarded equipment with 100% dependable and field-proven I/O and controls. Genius I/O offers robust technology with superior data integrity, advanced diagnostics and redundant configurations. The Genius family includes 20 different I/O blocks, a variety of PLC interface modules, and a growing number of third-party interfaces.

Discrete Input/Output Blocks

To meet the needs of your application, the Discrete I/O Blocks support a variety of voltage ranges and types, current capacity and isolation time.

Analog Input/Output Blocks

Genius Analog I/O Blocks are designed for control processes such as flow, temperature and pressure and can be customized by mixing analog signals on a single block.

Specialty Blocks

For use in control processes such as flow temperature and pressure, Specialty Blocks include RTD modules and a thermocouple. All modules are software configured and provide 12-16 bit resolution.

PC Interface Modules

The PC Interface Module (PCIM) is a single-slot ISA compatible board, designed for integration into a PC. It also enables PCs to control and monitor Genius I/O over a distance of up to 7,500 feet. The PCIM supports Genius I/O, Series 90 I/O and a variety of third party devices and allows PC applications to access all I/O communications functions supported by the Genius Bus.
