CEDES has been developing innovative solutions since 1986 for safety and information systems, automation, monitoring, industrial computers and controls. CEDES works with optical sensors on the basis of active infrared technology and image processing.

Our product program is divided into three areas: the lift industry, the doors&gates industry and machine industry. Products of extremely high quality are produced at very competitive prices.

CEDES products are sold in more than 60 countries world-wide. The firm is managed in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management standard, all products possessing the most important certification required internationally (TÜV, BG, CE, CSA, CUS, UL).

Research & Development

Our strength is our expertise in technologies relevant to our business, such as semi-conductor or 3D camera technology. Understanding and mastery of these technologies enable us to develop highly innovative and costeffective products.
International awards such as the 2004 IST Grand Prize for the ground-breaking 3D camera technology are proof that we are always one step ahead. We constantly maintain this lead in procedures and technologies through investment and continuing training of our employees.

Quality

CEDES maintains a quality management system, which is based on the industrial standard ISO 9001: 2000 (for medical equipment) and is extended towards a company wide total quality management philosophy.

Our employees are the key elements during product innovation and mass production. They work in teams within a clearly defined organisation which delegates the responsibility for quality, delivery dates and costs to the operational line.

Quality management is not be restrictive, but gives the employees security, self-motivation and maintains an orderly process. We are controlling the efficiency and effectiveness of our organisation by quality audits at the  departmental level and at each work station.

Our success is based on continuous improvement and the capability to act promptly to new customer needs.

Our products have been approved by recognised third party test laboratories and fulfill the legislation and standards of the European Union and the United States.

In 2006, CEDES produced more than 3.5 million PCB’s from 116 million individual components. From that, well over 290'000 devices were manufactured and delivered around the whole world with the support from our highly motivated and extremely customer-orientated employees,  in a modern, efficient and widely automated manufacturing base.

Today, CEDES is one of the leading manufacturers of light curtains with a quality claim rate more than 50 % below the business average!
